A Prayer for the People of Ukraine, Israel & Gaza
God of Love, God of human dignity, God of peace, give comfort to those who suffer in Ukraine, as well as Israel and Gaza, because of the violence and horror of war that has been thrust upon them by evil acts. Give comfort to those who mourn their dead, and strength to the people of Ukraine, Israel and Gaza and across the Holy land along with their neighboring countries who welcome refugees. Convert the hearts of those who resort to war and protect those who work to promote peace.
God of hope, inspire leaders to choose peace instead of violence and to seek reconciliation with enemies. Inspire compassion in the universal Church for all people and give us all hope for a future of peace based on justice for all.
We ask this through Jesus Christ, Prince of Peace and Light of the world. Amen.
