    Our Choir Director Christine Free, mezzo- soprano, is a native of Rhode Island, and has consistently delighted audiences with her passion, sensitivity, and charisma. Recent credits include Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro, Grisostomo in Don Quichotte auf der Hochzeit des Comacho and the Second Woman in Purcell's  Dido and Aeneas while understudying the title role.  Other credits include Phoebe in Yeomen of the Guard , Rosalie in Carnival, Kate in the Pirates of Penzance and Inez in the Gondoliers. 

At home in Opera, Oratorio and Musical Theater, Christine has performed with the College Light Opera Company, as soloist in ensembles at Carnegie Mellon University, Stony Brook University and at the Amherst Early Music Festival.  She is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University and holds a Masters Degree from Stony Brook University.  Christine performs in both professional and academic settings in the New York Area while pursuing her Doctorate in Vocal Performance  at Stony Brook University under the direction of Miss Elaine Bonazzi.
